Our coverage begins Thursday at 3pm, resumes at 10am on Friday and continues all day on Saturday beginning at 11am through the Parade of Champions on Saturday night. High School Football Changes
Brush vs Strasburg has been move to MONDAY at 6pm in Strasburg.
Fort Morgan Mustang Football will be Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1pm.
According to the Fort Morgan School District, district staff are at this hour (9:15 am) meeting to determine when the Fort Morgan Mustang vs. Roosevelt Roughriders game will be played. We will update as soon as the information is available.
Sterling vs Windsor has been moved to Saturday afternoon at 1pm at Windsor.
District volleyball tournament play taking place at NJC
The Class 1A District 4 high school volleyball pool play tournament scheduled for Thursday at NJC has been moved to this SATURDAY.
The 1A District high school volleyball finals tournament that was scheduled at NJC to happen this Saturday has now been rescheduled/moved to MONDAY, November 2nd. .
The 2A District high school volleyball tournament scheduled for FRIDAY at NJC is still on, but will begin at 1 p.m., NOT 9 a.m. as was previously planned.
Cross Country
The Cross Country State meet has been moved to Nov. 7.
Auto Racing
I-76 Speedway – the first Winter Series race scheduled for Sunday, November 1st, has been cancelled due to the snow and weather conditions. The race has been rescheduled for next week, Sunday, November 8th at 12:00 noon. For more information visit www.i-76speedway.com or call the track at 970-867-2101 for any new information.
Garrett Pape threw 3 touchdown passes, two of those to tight end Andrew Rebol, as the Fort Morgan Mustangs defeated the Brush Beetdiggers, 42-22, in the opener for both teams at Legion Field in Fort Morgan.
Brush’s touchdowns came on an 80 yard kickoff return by Joe Rosenbrock in the 1st quarter, a Skyler Seewald 10 yard run in the 2nd quarter and a scoring pass from QB Eric Garcia to C.J. Kukus in the game’s waning moments.
The Beetdiggers will be back in action when they play their home opener on September 11th vs. Holy Family.
The Brush Beetdiggers softball team opened up their season on August 29th by destroying Arrupe Jesuit on the road by a score of 33-0 with 19 runs in the 3rd inning.
In their home opener on September 1st, the Beetdigger bats were stymied in a 3-0 loss to the Fort Lupton Blue Devils. Two days later, however, Erin Berg picked up the win on the hill and Brush beat Limon for the first time in school history in a 12-2 win as the ‘Diggers scored 6 runs in the 4th inning, all with 2 outs.
Next up for Brush will be the Berthoud Tournament in Loveland on September 11th and 12th with the Beetdiggers facing Greeley Central and Longmont on the 11th.
The Denver Post picked 5 high school football games this season you don’t want to miss – and Brush is featured in 2 of the 5! The Brush v. Fort Morgan game on September 4 and the Brush v.
