FOOTBALL (10-22-10) – Brush 42, Strasburg 14

The Beetdiggers scored 21 points in the 4th quarter to break open a close game at Beetdigger Stadium. Connor Weisser scored 2 touchdowns as Brush improved to 4-1 in Patriot League play and 6-2 overall while Strasburg dropped to 4-1 in league action and 4-4 on the season.

The Beetdiggers travel to Keenesburg on Friday to face the Weld Central Rebels beginning at 7:00 on 1010 KSIR and www.ksir.com

FOOTBALL (10-8-10) – Brush 42, Valley 0

Five different players scored touchdowns as the Beetdiggers built a 35-0 lead by halftime and won on homecoming night. Brush, which improved to 3-0 in Patriot League play and 5-1 overall, will be in Eaton on Friday night to face the Reds beginning at 7:00 on 1010 KSIR and www.ksir.com. Valley is 1-2 in league play and 3-3 overall.

FOOTBALL (10-1-10) – Brush 48, Platte Valley 21

Joe Rosenbrock scored 3 touchdowns while Connor Weisser added two as Brush won in Kersey. Brush, which will host Valley for homecoming on Friday beginning at 7:00 on ksir and www.ksir.com, improved 2-0 in Patriot League play and 4-1 overall while Platte Valley fell to 1-1 in league play and 2-2 on the season.

FOOTBALL (9-17-10) – Wray 42, Brush 31

Joe Rosenbrock scored 3 touchdowns including an 86 yard kickoff return and an 80 yard punt return, but it wasn’t enough as the Beetdiggers dropped to 2-1. Brett Vlasin threw for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns for Wray, which improved to 3-0.

Brush will be back in action on Saturday when they play in Greeley vs. University at 1:00 preceded by Beetdigger Blastoff at noon on B106 and www.b106.com.

FOOTBALL (9-10-10) – Brush 28, Faith Christian 7

Eric Garcia ran for 3 touchdowns and threw for another as the Beetdiggers built a 28-7 halftime lead. Brush, which defeated Faith Christian for the first time in school history, is 2-0 and will travel to Wray on Friday to face the Eagles beginning with Beetdigger Blastoff at 6:00 and kickoff at 7:00 on 1010 KSIR and www.ksir.com.

FOOTBALL (9-3-10) – Brush 41, Fort Morgan 0

Joe Rosenbrock scored 2 touchdowns while Eric Garcia had a TD run and a 26 yard scoring pass to CJ Kukus in Brush’s win at Beetdigger Stadium. Skyler Seewald also found the end zone for the 1-0 Beetdiggers, which will host defending 2A state champion, Faith Christian, on Friday night beginning at 7:00 on ksir as well as www.ksir.com.

BASEBALL (5-14-10) – Holy Family 12, Brush 7

Holy Family scored 4 runs in each of the 1st 3 innings as Brush’s season came to an end in a 3A district semifinal in Broomfield. Bruss trailed 12-2 after 3 innings before scoring 5 runs in the top of the 4th with Kolby Wahlert delivering a grand slam off winning pitcher Josh Tinnon. Brush finished the season with a record of 10-10

BASEBALL (4-30-10) – Brush 7, Lyons 2

Eric Garcia struck out 8 and went the distance on a 5 hitter while Shay Hansen had 4 hits including a 3 run homer in the 7th as the Beetdiggers won on the road. Brush improved to 5-2 in the Patriot League and 9-6 overall.

BASEBALL (4-29-10) – Valley 8, Brush 5

CJ Kukus homered, however, Valley scored 6 runs in the 2nd inning to win in Brush. Brush dropped to 4-2 in Patriot League play and 8-6 on the season.

BASEBALL (4-27-10) – Eaton 12, Brush 2

Despite getting 8 hits, the Beetdiggers fell to 4-1 in Patriot League play and 8-5 overall with the road loss.
