GIRLS BASKETBALL (2-26-10) – Brush 33, Erie 30

Brush went on a 14-0 1st half run and held on to earn 3rd place in the Patriot League tournament from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Brush, which improved to 20-2 with the win, is the 7th seed heading into the upcoming 3A state tournament and will host the 26th seed, Kent Denver, on Friday beginning at 7:00 on 1010 KSIR and www.ksir.com.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-25-10) – Eaton 56, Brush 48

Brush blew a 19 point and Eaton scored 45 of the game’s final 63 points in the semifinals of the Patriot League tournament from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. 15-6 Brush will play Yuma on Friday at 4:30 for 3rd place.

GIRLS BASKETBALL (2-25-10) – Eaton 41, Brush 33

Eaton closed the game on a 21-6 run to stun Brush in the semifinals of the Patriot League tournament from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. 19-2 Brush will play Erie on Friday at 3:00 for 3rd place.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-23-10) – Brush 55, Highland 47

CJ Kukus scored 20 points and Derek Lynch added 15 as Brush won at home in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League tournament. Brush improved to 15-5 and advances to a semifinal game on Thursday vs. Eaton from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley beginning at 7:30.

GIRLS BASKETBALL (2-23-10) – Brush 59, Platte Valley 33

After allowing 18 points in the opening quarter, Brush gave up just 15 the rest of the way in winning their Patriot League tournament quarterfinal game at home. The top seeded Beetdiggers, at 19-1, will play on Thursday in a semifinal starting at 6:00 vs. Eaton from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and can be heard on 1010 KSIR as well as www.ksir.com.

State Wrestling Coverage from the Pepsi Center

The Parade of Champions begins tonight at 6:30 with live coverage on 1010 KSIR and bonus coverage at 94.5 FM. We are once again broadcasting with Tieline Technology – it sounds like you are right there on the mat!

State Championship Wresting

The first two days of wrestling are complete. Tomorrow’s coverage begins at 11am. The Parade of Champions is scheduled to begin at 6:30. At the end of day 2, Wiggins leads the 2A team scores with 136 points, Burlington is in second with 115 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-16-10) Weld Central 67, Brush 62

CJ Kukus scored 22 points, but the Beetdiggers had their 9 game winning streak snapped losing in Keenesburg. Brush finished the regular season as the Patriot League champs with a 9-2 league record and 14-5 overall. Brush will host the winner of the Estes Park/Highland game on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League tournament starting at 7:30 on 1010 KSIR and ksir.com.

State Wrestling Coverage

Our coverage begins Thursday at 3pm, resumes at 10am on Friday and continues all day on Saturday beginning at 11am through the Parade of Champions on Saturday night.
