BOYS BASKETBALL (3-5-10) – Brush 78, Dolores Huerta 65

Kolby Wahlert paced 4 players in double figures with 24 points as Brush won it’s opening round 3A state tournament game from Kent Denver High School in Englewood. Brush improved to 17-6 and will face Kent Denver at 1:00 on Saturday with the winner to advance to the quarterfinals from Moby Arena in Fort Collins.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-26-10) – Brush 56, Yuma 42

Kolby Wahlert scored 23 points as Brush won the 3rd place game in the Patriot League tournament from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Brush upped their record to 16-6 with the victory.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-25-10) – Eaton 56, Brush 48

Brush blew a 19 point and Eaton scored 45 of the game’s final 63 points in the semifinals of the Patriot League tournament from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. 15-6 Brush will play Yuma on Friday at 4:30 for 3rd place.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-23-10) – Brush 55, Highland 47

CJ Kukus scored 20 points and Derek Lynch added 15 as Brush won at home in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League tournament. Brush improved to 15-5 and advances to a semifinal game on Thursday vs. Eaton from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley beginning at 7:30.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-16-10) Weld Central 67, Brush 62

CJ Kukus scored 22 points, but the Beetdiggers had their 9 game winning streak snapped losing in Keenesburg. Brush finished the regular season as the Patriot League champs with a 9-2 league record and 14-5 overall. Brush will host the winner of the Estes Park/Highland game on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League tournament starting at 7:30 on 1010 KSIR and ksir.com.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-11-10) – Brush 60, Yuma 53

Kolby Wahlert tallied 28 points as Brush posted a home victory and took over the lead in the Patriot League with a 9-1 mark. The Beetdiggers won their 9th straight and are 14-4 on the season.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-6-10) – Brush 61, Highland 57

CJ Kukus banked in a shot off a steal with 1:40 remaining putting the Beetdiggers in front to stay in a road victory. Brush won their 7th straight game and upped their record to 7-1 in the Patriot League and 12-4 overall.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-4-10) – Brush 59, Holy Family 51

Kolby Wahlert scored 17 of his 21 points in the 2nd half as the Beetdiggers rallied from an 11 point 3rd quarter deficit. Brush won their 6th in a row with the home win to improve to 11-4.

BOYS BASKETBALL (2-2-10) – Brush 77, Strasburg 60

Kolby Wahlert scored 19 of his 23 points in the 2nd half while CJ Kukus tallied 16 of his 21 in the 1st half as Brush won in Strasburg upping their record to 6-1 in the Patriot League and 10-4 overall.

BOYS BASKETBALL (1-22-10) – Brush 64, Lyons 53

Brush led by as many as 20 points and Kolby Wahlert, C.J. Kukus and Jeremy Deslauriers all scored in double figures as Brush improved to 3-1 in the Patriot League and 7-4 overall with the victory in Lyons.
